PEM Stainless Fabrications - Bespoke Stainless Steel Fabrications, Catering Equipment and Sinks
The Munch Buggy
The Munch Buggy project was on taken on for Cooper8, a company who design and sell bespoke trolleys for the catering trade. The initial Munch Buggy (shown below) was designed for the National Trust to be used at their parks and stately homes for selling light refreshments and is a battery powered vehicle charged via a standard 13amp supply.
We were tasked with installing the stainless steel benches and sinks in the Buggy, and it took a number of design phases to come up with the ideal layout. The key to its design is the operator having the ability to serve hot drinks from the right whilst being able to serve the cool drinks and ice creams from the left.
From a fabrication perspective, the challenge was to ensure all the required elements could be positioned within the Buggy's small space in a practical and usable way. A number of refinements were made following feedback of the first prototype, making improvements in both aesthetics and manufacturing processes.
Following the success of the first Munch Buggy, we have produced several others for a variety of nationwide parks, as well as a trailer fitted out for the National Trust, all of which have been met with similar enthusiasm.
